Bowraville Community Alliance

The Bowraville Community Alliance (BCA) was established by members of Bowraville Aboriginal, Educational, Economic and Community Groups to discuss local issues with a view to helping create a better future.

To do this, the BCA is managing a strategic planning process for Bowraville with the following objective:

"To have the Bowraville community decide and document what it wants for the future in terms of social, cultural, environmental and economic development and to develop a strategic plan to enable that vision to become a reality."

The BCA’s objective is that this should be an inclusive community process and everyone is welcome to get involved and have their say. The BCA’s regular meetings are held in true community spirit based on the principles of  recognition, respect, responsibility and resilience.

The following documents have been produced during this process and are available for download:

  • Community Survey 2003 - Report  and  Statistics

  • Situational Analysis Survey 2006

  • Strategic Plan 2006

The BCA also produces a monthly Community Newsletter that can be downloaded Here.

If you would like to attend the BCA’s next meeting or would like to find out more about its objectives please contact:
