Nambucca Valley LandCare (NVL) was incorporated in 1995 to
assist the, then, fourteen LandCare groups in the valley with
project development, funding, reporting, and community
engagement. NVL's outstanding achievements in consistent project
management & best practice are attributed to the administration
of LandCare coordinator In the Nambucca Valley, trust has been development over time, NVL's primary aim is to assist people of the valley so their greatest asset is their link to the community and therefore their commitment to seeing the natural resources of the valley used in a sustainable manner. LandCare boasts a strong diverse affiliation with the community which includes: farmers, conservationists, schools, Local council, Aboriginal land councils, contractors, nurseries, local clubs, & businesses. Landcare in the Nambucca has been described as our LandCare. LandCare has also developed strong working relationships with state and federal government departments by developing successful initiatives and meeting departmental criteria & obligations. These achievements are now testament to the executive committee & Tim Ryan's 8 years of service and achievements in dealing with government policy, insurance issues & funding resulting in the implementation of numerous successful LandCare projects. The Nambucca Valley LandCare office is situated in High Street Bowraville and the focal point for inquires information and support to other LandCare groups, Mid north Coast Farm Foresters, and individuals. NVL officers a range of services including: hardcopy information, internet services, technical advice, contacts, advice or a chat, other services available on request are information and training sessions & farm walks. |
